If you are 70 1/2 years or older, giving from your Traditional or Roth IRA is a tax-smart way to support the mission of the Immanuel Foundation. Individuals 70 1/2 are able to make their minimum IRA distribution directly to the Immanuel Foundation and not count it as income. An IRA Charitable Rollover allows donors to make “qualified charitable distributions” directly from a retirement plan.
Have your financial advisor or the bank holding your IRA make the distribution check out to the Immanuel Foundation directly. Our address is listed below. Contact Heidi at the Immanuel Foundation to designate your gift to the fund of your choice. Immanuel Foundation will then provide you with a letter of acknowledgement for your tax records.

A charitable gift annuity is a contractual agreement that exchanges a gift to the Immanuel Foundation for secure, guaranteed income for life for you or a person you designate. Not only does this gift provide you with regular payments and allow us to further our mission, but when you create a charitable gift annuity with the Immanuel Foundation you also receive a variety of tax benefits, including a federal income tax charitable deduction and a Montana Endowment Tax Credit equal to 40% of the charitable value of your gift if the annuity restricts your gift to a permanent endowment in your name! Charitable Gift Annuities can be established with cash or a gift of stock. *
You can donate appreciated stock to the Immanuel Foundation and avoid paying capital gains taxes. Contact your financial advisor for details then contact Heidi Hickethier at (406)407-5733 for the Immanuel Foundation’s account information!
You can name the Immanuel Foundation as the beneficiary of your Life Insurance Policy, 401k, or IRA. Contact your insurance provider and investment advisor to complete the designation.
