What is the Winter Gala?
This is a yearly fundraising event to help us raise funds to benefit the residents at Retreat (formerly known as the Lutheran Home) who are Medicaid-qualified but require 24/7 care skilled care. Due to insufficient government Medicaid reimbursement, we raise funds to help. The Immanuel Foundation supports the ministry of Immanuel Living to provide safe, vibrant homes for older adults, no matter their income level. Our three-year focus is to upgrade 43 rooms in that area that haven’t been significantly upgraded for years ** see below for room renovation specifics.
Our Winter Gala tonight features an online and in-person auction and a capstone fundraising event tonight, Thursday, November 14. We are so excited to see our guests tonight!

Thank you to all who supported our 2023 Winter Gala! Together we netted over $152,000 and were able to begin upgrading 43 rooms in the east portion of the Retreat where over half of our residents are low-income, Medicaid-qualified.
